SWR Barroselas Metalfest XIV, set to take place from April 29th to May 1st 2011 at the small village of Barroselas, in the north of Portugal, is now spreading 14 plagues from the underground.

British black’n roll legions of VENOM (Uk) are certainly expected to make some history on the first stage of the leading Portuguese metal festival. Brazilian king of crust João Gordo and his legendary hardcore outfit RATOS DE PORÃO (Bra) are some additional weapons for these 14 plagues to attack.

Progressive leaders ATHEIST (Usa), veteran rockers VOIVOD (Can) or death metallers MALEVOLENT CREATION (Usa) also among the main attractions on SWR Barroselas Metalfest XIV. EVILE (Uk), SATANIC WARMASTER (Fin), ALCEST (Fra), TODAY IS THE DAY (Usa), TAAKE (Nor) and NECROS CHRISTOS (Ger) are some of highlights in a festival that welcomes more than fifty acts from all over the world.

With names like Napalm Death, Brujeria, Katatonia or Kreator on its history, SWR Barroselas Metalfest XIV features 2 indoor stages and an outside free entrance area featuring some performances and concerts. A forest campsite with toilets and hot shower facilities opens for free usage during the entire festival.
