Tracklist « Requiem » :
Scott Hull is a worldwide renowned sound engineer but he also is the Pig Destroyer and Agoraphonic Nosebleed’s guitarist. With this solo album (even if Scott himself does not consider it as a solo album…) « Requiem », Scott Hull explores another world and another musical side: the one of movie music. “Requiem” is a film sound band. Through these different tracks at the same time atmospheric and rather dark we discover another Scott musical facet. The tracks turn around themes such as death, the burden of guilt as well as all its consequences… nothing delightful in all that! All along this “Requiem” we sail, we travel into a dark, sometimes funeral music, very often atmospheric. The tracks are using for base the synthes but also different sounds like notably the sea in « In Paradisum Deducant Te Angeli », are also present female voices, piano or violin passages even more electro passages like in « Vista All’Ospedale ». Each of the tracks has it own feeling making us travelled into our psychological universe with deep passages, the all of it being full of sadness, melancholy. It is an album which really has to be listened to appreciate all its beauty… all letting our mind wandering…
