Return of legendary Venom axeman Mantas.. with other ex-Venom dudes, Tony Dolan on Bass/Vocals and Antton on Drums.. Wouh ! Sounds good, right ? I was really curious to hear what this new hellish combo was about to deliver.. knowing what the guys did in the past and being a real fan of Venom's first four albums, I was expecting a fuckin'awesome album, something that would blow me away... hmmm.. I assume I still have to wait until this really happens.. Sorry dudes, this album is not interesting at all... I can't really find anything that catches my attention here.. Sure, it has nice parts, great guitar solos too, but the whole sounds on the length way too fuckin' boring... Tony Dolan's voice is way too monotonous and gets fastly on my nerves... the songs are either slow, mid-tempo or fast but it lacks so much of variations ! The only one that caught my attention is the one called "Devil" with its surprising US rock'n'roll/bluesy touches à La Nashville Pussy - this one really rocks ! But the rest of the album is average and lacks of power, of intensity.. average Thrash/Metal/Punk.. I feel so sorry.. I expected something really killer as the early VENOM works (with of course a more modern production & approach) and in the end, I've something as boring as what Venom did with the "Hell" album... Disappointing.
