«The Embodiment Begins» is the first album of the English group No Quarter Given. The style of the group is a mix of hardcore and thrash, for me the hardcore is more put in front especially on the vocals level. The album begins with an instrumental “The Embodiment Begins”, rather melodic track, at guitars and we really enter into the subject with “Program Divinity” with a heavy, powerful and fast rhythmic. The vocalist sends us all his anger through his screaming. I find the vocals too much linear and monotonous… all as I find the tracks too linear, any of them can be demark from one another. We have changing in rhythmics in some tracks especially in “Program Divinity”, “Dystopia” or “The Sedition” but the all of it stays however linear besides some little well placed soli. “The Embodiment Begins” stays for me an ordinary album because too little varied.
