To be honest, I don't know much about the Chinese metal scene, EXPLOSICUM being the very first band I can hear from this country... but already I can tell you that if all the bands there are like EXPLOSICUM, then the chinese scene is definitely worth of interest !!
EXPLOSICUM is a five-piece band that musically can be classified as "thrash-fuckin'metal" ! Their style is really kick ass & straight-in-the-face like, influenced by bands like Slayer, early Metallica, Overkill, Testament, Dark Angel, Vio-lence and Exodus to name a few...
This first album is really a bomb ! From the beginning to the end, not a second to breath, the band hits you with top-class guitar-riffs, relentless rhythmics, incredible guitar-solos (that will please all TESTAMENT fans ! very refined & melodious, all in all very thrashy ones !) and a rage that has in my opinion for only comparison, albums like "Bonded By Blood", "Feel The Fire" or "The Legacy". The voice is really aggressive, Li Junchao looks like a very angry person when he sings haha ! but he brings alot of energy to the songs with his raw/aggressive style !
EXPLOSICUM definitely play old-school thrash metal like in the 80's with the same power, the same breaks leading to mosh-parts ! For all into early Bay-Area thrash !
