Tracklist :
Another band hailing from Japan... It seems this scene is definitely one of the most prolific ones, considering the amount of great bands we've already heard from like HellHound, Satanica, Maverick, Solitude, Metalucifer to name a few... This one is called DOG-MAG and plays kinda Heavy-Rock Metal ! The band have already released an album but this "Burning Power" is a demo... from the infos I got, a new album should be available very soon, which is something I won't miss for sure, because I can tell you this demo really caught my ears & attention !!! Pretty much influenced by the 80's metal-rock (I'd say this sometimes musically sounds like a mix of very early Danzig, Skid Row, early-Motley Crue, Motörhead...) those 5 songs never miss to be very well written, with a great part for melody and head-shaking rhythms !!! Vocals are handled by a girl which knows how to modulate her voice, she screams when needed, sings when needed, depending on the mood of the songs - superb choirs here & there (especially at the end of "Confused World"), great musicianship ! Some songs sound "mid-tempo" like "Five Monkeys" (with its amazing melodic & groovy intro, full of haunting atmospheres), or "Confused World", while "Prisonner" and "No More Heroes" are harder and more direct ones... "BUT" the most interesting & kick-ass song is for me the one that closes that demo, to know "Burning City"... Waouh, everything is definitely GREAT here ! From the vocals, which are very well-placed to the structure of the songs that alternate slow, fast, melodious, groovy parts with a great energy all along & superb guitar solos !!!! This is one of the demo I have pleasure to listen to again & again but 5 songs are definitely not enough, please an album now !!!
