"Apocalypse. Now Or Never" is the debut album by finnish thrashers NAILGUNNER(and already the 20th release by hard-working metal Fan Wang from Chinese Area Death Productions !). If I tell you NAILGUNNER got formed in 2002 with the idea of starting a SlAYER Tribute-band, you know you can't be wrong & all you can expect is direct thrash fuckin'metal ! Indeed you're right ! Musically, these are 8 songs that are mainly Slayer-influenced with fast rhythmics, neverending double-bass drums, cut-throat guitar-riffs and aggressive vocals that sound more like Mille's one (time of "Terrible Certainty"/"Extreme Aggression") than Araya's. One can also feel influences from bands like Exodus, Razor, early Testament, Onslaught, Exciter, Overkill... Those 8 songs are all extremely well-played & structured, they definitely all kick ass & this album is without a doubt destined to real & true thrash-fans around !!! They play it raw, fast & aggressive like it was meant to be played with great solos that King & Hanneman would not deny haha ! Some people say this bring nothing new to the style, but who really cares ? Thrash Metal is meant to kick your ass, and this is what you get with NAILGUNNER ! BUY OR DIE !!!
