Inferis is a Chile death metal group which has released its first album «In The Path Of Malignant Spirits» with Old Temple Records. The death metal of the group is direct, powerful and uncompromising. The presentation of this cd is somehow different, it is not present in a crystal box but in a “folder” with four folds with drawings, lyrics of the songs and a group picture. The death metal of the group is furious, fast and powerful with very violent, brutal and aggressive passages but not only, we also have passages with acoustic guitars which bring delicacy to the tracks just like to give even more impact to these very aggressive passages and some passages even have violin. We have instrumental tracks like the intro « Creating The Infernal Pacts » but also « Melancholy », track with a very dark atmosphere. The rhythmic section is powerful and very fast with a very present and very powerful bass guitar and very martial drums. The vocals are aggressive and powerful, somehow guttural.
The production is very good and gives also more impact to the tracks.
If you are fans of this kind of powerful and direct metal « In The Path Of Malignant Spirits » has everything to seduce you.
