“We Are…” is the first album of the Swiss melodic heavy metal group Charing cross.
It is difficult from the beginning not to make the connection with Bruce Dickinson on the vocals level… as well as musically speaking, you take a little of Iron Maiden, Iced Earth that you mix with some Helloween … and you have Charing Cross !!!
The tracks are well structured, well done, with good melodies and well interpreted by Peter Hochulli but you will not try to find any originality in this album, there aren’t any or so little … they are classic tracks but good tracks! There are good guitars playing with good twin guitars and the soli they give are very well done. Peter has a melodic and powerful voice, well at place. The songs are very often choirs in the refrains. It is a good first album, solid, which lets presage good things to come for the group.
