“Renaissance” from Tears Of Othila is what we would call a beautiful album. An album where the influences are coming from folk and where the principal inspiration stays the human being and nature. All through this album we have a lot of emotion which are coming firstly from the traditional instruments such as the acoustic guitars, the violin, the flutes, but also from the vocals, male and female, of the declamations. The all of it sounds relatively dark and melancholic but also soft, delicate, full of spirituality. « Renaissance » makes us travelled through delicacy and the beauty of nature. The tracks are simple, not simplistic, of an extreme beauty in the listening. « Of Everlasting Memory » is superb, in emotion with crystalline female vocals; moreover there are male vocals rather in the declamation style.
To listen and to let your imagination goes on.
