Verzivatar releases with Old Temple its first album « In The Shadow Of sombre Clouds ». The style of the Hungarian group is a depressive black metal. The vocals are very aggressive, shouted even desperate, high pitched. The rhythmic are fast even frantic as we can see it especially in the first track “Sadness Of The Night Forest”, the drummer is fast, with the precision and the rigour of a metronome! I find the riffs, always saturated, too repetitive and little varied and whatever the track. The titles are long and the last one “Caducous Riverside Shadows” is more than 10 minute length. The tracks are cold, dark and the atmospheres dark and melancholic. We also have sounds like for example in “Walking Through The Empire Of Eternal Snow” which actually gives the impression of walking on the blizzard. For me, this album has nothing exceptional and stays a black metal album among so many…
