Hammer Records/Autoproduction Release : 2004 Tracklist « The Deadline » : Decanoise Screams From The Other Dimension Away Magic Light Of Power God Of Thunder Dream Life Fire & Pain Son Of Silence Go On Arkan
The Chilean group Radaghast has released four years ago “The Deadline”. The style of the group is a melodic power metal. Rogrido Gil’s vocals are powerful and well at place which bring aggressiveness to the songs. The album begins with an instrumental « Decanoise » which is rather atmospheric and which goes slowly into power to directly link to « Screams From The Other Dimension », fast and powerful track. The tracks stay classic in their conception for this style of metal but they are well done with melodic keyboards passages. The soli are well done whatever they are done at guitars or keyboards like especially the one at guitars on « Screams From The Other Dimension » followed by a keyboard solo with drums which are raging at the same times. The tracks are fast and powerful with an efficient rhythmic. The songs are melodic and relatively epic. I like much the melody of « Away », simple but efficient. Some tracks made me sometimes think to Helloween with different vocals like especially the track « God Of Thunder » or « Fire & Pain ». The group mixes skilfully power, melody and aggressiveness all through the tracks and the all of it is rather well done. « Arkan » ends the album, it is the longest track, the most varied one with changing in rhythmic and a well put acoustic guitars, all in beauty. I do not know what does the group today neither if a new album is being prepared or not but at least Radaghast has a certain talent.
