Here is the last album from Don Caballero “Punkgasm”. The style of the group is a mix of rock, indie, instrumental, progressive and alternative even experimental. All is said or nearly. Not a track looks like another; the tracks are complex and rarely easily accessible. The compositions are very often destructured with dissonant, saturated, distorted guitars even destructured. The drums are much present with their blasts and their unexpected rhythmic changings, they are very certainly the base of the tracks. There are little vocals in this album and when there are it is rather in “fly over” on the music except maybe on « Dirty Looks » where it is really sang, besides it is for me one of the best tracks of this album. Some passages are very melodic and very good ones. They are good compositions that you will appreciate if you are open minded musically speaking and you will need more than one listening to try, I say trying to understand at least a little the music of the group. It is undeniable that we face very great professionals of music.
