Open The Skies will be releasing in some weeks“Conspiracies”. The group describes itself as being a « melodic, post-hardcore screamo » group … I do agree. The tracks have melodic passages coming from the guitars line but also from the vocals. As weel, the vocals are varied, between clear vocals, melodic and growls, screamo. All being a young group, the members have a certain talent for their instruments. However this album has nothing exceptional because it does not demark itself particularly from the others of the same style by mixing the genres as Open The Skies does. « Interlude » and the acoustic track « Yours Faithfully » show however that the group has a real composition talent but it has to demark itself from the other groups !!! I admit preferring Josh’s clear voice than on the other vocals styles…
Open The Skies is a group to follow because a certain potential is present…
