Efficient and direct, so is this EP “Mission To Kill” from the Swedish group Legions Of War. The vocals are death metal ones crossbred with black, efficient, powerful, well at place with just the necessary aggressiveness. The musical and vocal mix is well done, on one side the rather thrash metal riffs allying at the same times melody, power and rapidity and on the other hand aggressiveness of the vocals. The vocals are very understandable, which is a plus when you listen to the lyrics of the songs. The approached themes of the songs are about war… inexhaustive subject. The tracks are fast with a well present and well at place rhythmic section. My favourite track is « Mission To Kill » that I could listen more than 10 times one after another even more !!! But the other tracks are also successful especially « Reflections Of The Past » with its just simply superb break at guitars, its rhythmic changing and its solo ! Legions Of War is a group to discover.
If this EP is an autoproduction, the next album will be signed as the group has founded a label: Inferno Records.
