Here comes back Pure Inc and its last album « Parasites and Worms ». France, for this album, has the benefit of an exclusive pressing with a new cover : it is not worms but a beautiful butterfly and a picture of the group. This do not affect the music of the group . This review is an update for this info.The Swiss give us a hard rock with grunge influences. The tracks are maybe heavier that on the previous albums but Gianni Pontillo’s voice is still the same, well at place and as powerful… and it still makes me think to Chris Cornell’s one. The compositions are very good ones, relatively well varied with a lot of power and of dynamism, some being at the limit of aggressiveness like for example with “The End” or “Serenade Of Aggression”. We also have a superb ballad “Carrie’s Alone” very well interpreted by Gianni, it is besides on this track that he makes me think the most to Chris Cornell. To note the Led Zeppelin’s cover “Immigrant Song” which is a success, without forgetting the little sense of humour of the group with the “black metal” track “Won’t Get Back” which will make laugh more than one!!!
Album not to miss at its release !
