Witchsmeller Pursuivant is a classic heavy metal group from Belgium in the vein of NWOBHM and « Manifest Of Evil » is its last album. The songs are epic with good guitars playing from the twin guitars. The compositions deal with themes such as sorcerers, witches, Evil, etc…
A lot of rhythm variations are present in the tracks with very fast passages and others more slower, but the whole stays fast. The vocals are rather theatrical and well at place. The riffs are melodic, heavy and powerful and the rhythmic section efficient and well at place. Some tracks would not have been bad on Iron Maiden’s albums. It is difficult to take out one track rather than another one because all the compositions are excellent quality and it is frankly a group to discover if you like old good classic heavy metal.
