Destruction has just released « D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N », this album celebrates the 25th years of existence of the group. The thrash metal of the group is powerful, direct and the compositions are good ones and much worked. The tracks of the album have sometimes slightly progressive parts. The harmonies and the melodies are worked and some passages are technique. The vocals are aggressive but keeps however a certain melody. We find soli in each of the tracks and « U.rge/The Greed Of Grain » has not than less three of them, one given by Gary Holt (Exodus), le second by Mike and the third one by Jeff Waters (Annihilator), three excellent thrash guitarists !!! Vinnie Moore (U.F.O) figures in « V.icious Circle/The Seven Deadly Sins”. This album stays in the vein of what have been done the group in the past. It is a solid and varied album which can only please the thrash metal fans in general and the fans of the group in particular.
