Canobliss is a progressive metal/rock American group which has released “Psychothermia”. It is an eclectic album, varied, energetic and powerful. The influences of the group come from everywhere, from rock to jazz, funk and metal and very certainly others. About the groups which inspire them, I think that Tool and System Of A Down are very strong influences. The vocals are very varied, between clear vocals, rather screaming ones even core. The compositions are interesting with worked structures, with progressive passages even maybe alternative. It is clear that a huge composition work has been done. It is a coherent album besides the diverse influences but which needs several listenings because I do think it is not always accessible.
Canobliss is a group to discover and to follow in the years to come because it has a huge potential of creation.
