“Nex” is the first album of the english group Nex, released at first in 2006, Rising Records rereleases it this year at the occasion of the release of their next album « A Clockwork Heart ». are skilfully mixed in this album punk, rock and metal. The influences of the group Faith No More, System Of A Down, among others, are very present sometimes a little too much… like in « Master Plan » among others… The riffs are heavy and powerful and some guitars parts are very well done. The rhythmic section is powerful and dynamic. Ed Dickinson’s vocals are varied, well at place and he knows to play with his voice. The tracks are well varied with changings in rhythms and a non negligible sense of melody. The whole is relatively dynamic and melodic. On some tracks we have the presence of keyboards. The tracks are well done but the influences of the group are sometimes too much present on the tracks, the group should find its own identity along the albums.
