“The New Dawn” is the second album of the Swedish group Anachronaeon. The style of the group is progressive metal with extreme metal influences. Two members are making this group : Patrik Carlsson at vocals, at guitars and at the bass guitar and Andreas Åkerlind at the drums. « The New Dawn » is a concept album which is about a foreign, military conspiracy. All through this album we’ll find Jack, the hero of this album as well as the narrator. The story is very strange but I won’t unveil it to you… Up to you to listen the album !!! Patrik Carlsson’s vocals are mixed between clear and death vocals. Musically the compositions are relatively interesting, knowing to create different atmospheres and ambiences with changings in rhythms and in musical styles. Melodic passages are present and alternate with heavier and aggressive ones and epic passages. The group has a great creative process when you listen tracks such as « The Random Twist OF Fate » or « Life Is Just A Matter Of Time ».
