Thundering Records/Socadisc Tracklist “Hidden Side” :
Jarell is a French group which releases its first album « Hidden Side » withThundering Records. The style of the group is a modern death metal where are skilfully mixed death metal parts but also vocals which are more hardcore, rather symphonic parts with a lot of keyboards and samples, other passages are more power, progressive, thrash and metal Indus. All through this album are mixed all these styles with an incredible coherence, all are well linked. The purely aggressive passages are following more powerful ones, symphonic ones, … the vocals themselves are very varied as we have clear vocals, death vocals, hardcore ones, sometimes supported by chorus. The tracks are cut with well done and well put breaks and the ambiences and atmospheres are very varied. It is sure that it is not the kind of album that you’ll get bored with, not a moment ! The tracks are powerful and energetic with melodies which are in general catchy.A huge composition work has been done on the melodies, breaks and atmospheres levels and the group all having an aggressive, furious, powerful and energetic side gives us some more atmospheric and delicate passages whatever they are guitars or keyboards passages. It is hard to take out one track rather than another one as all is frankly excellent and varied. It is to note that you’ll find a track sang in French « La Voie Humide » and a track with a dark atmosphere « Aux Malheurs Des Hommes » nearly instrumental, with more than vocalises than vocals.
