“The Time Has Come” is the second album of the argentine group Twilight. The style of the group is a classic speed metal melodic with keyboards. The compositions are melodic, worked but they are in no way original… and however some passages especially at keyboards, very often in background melodies, are rather well done. As well as some guitars passages are well done, with simple and melodic soli like in « Katrina » or « No Tears, No Fears », among others. Mariano’s vocals are well at place, melodic and rather high pitched, very often chorus support him in the refrains and very often his voice is doubled for more power on some passages. If the whole of the album is rather well done, with tracks which are rather catchy, it is the second part of the album which is more successful, more worked, especially on the melodies with more powerful and sharp riffs. « The Rower » is a superb ballad with a beautiful piano melody. We have a more than successful keyboards solo on « Lord Of The Twilight ».
At the end Twilight gives us a balanced album with some imperfections but the group has a certain potential which will certainly be developed in the future albums.
