Mascot Records/Replica Records Tracklist “guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood” :
If there is an album with such a great musical variety it is this one !!! Volbeat offers us with « Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood » a more than varied album where are mixed the different influences of the group. We will find thrash metal, rock’n’roll, southern rock, country, rockabilly, etc… it is an album which puts you on form and with which you can just adhere as the refrains are federating, melodic. Michael Poulsen has a voice in the crooner manner in an Elvis Presley way, well at place and melodic, giving a particular touch to the songs. We have a guest on the track « Mary Ann’s Place », Pernille Rosendahl, Swann Lee’s vocalist. The tracks are heavy, powerful, well rhythmed and melodic. Volbeat even cover a title from Hank Williams « I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry ». It is hard to say something negative on this album as on the vocals line as well as on the musical one, all is well done, well made… So what ???? You’ll just have to listen « Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood » and take pelasure with it… as much as I have pleasure to listen to it as often as I can as the album is regularly in my cd player and in my car as much as I can. To listen and listen again without any restriction.
