Retrodemon is a hard rock/heavy metal old school group coming from the States and “Demonstration” is its first album. The influences of the group go from Black Sabbath to Led Zeppelin, Cream, Metallica and Soundgarden and some of them can be heard more than others. The guitars riffs are heavy and powerful and the soli are excellent, moreover we often have guitars harmonies. The tracks are varied taking in the influences of the group. Giancarlo’s vocals are somehow hoarse, not unpleasant to listen maybe not always enough varied. Two covers are present, one from Metallica « Ride The Lighting » and the other from Slayer « South Of Heaven », two different styles but the group ensures rather well the two tracks.
The album has the benefit of a good production even if it is a selfproduction. Retrodemon is a group to discover if you like all that is old school.
