O.T.R. (On The Rocks) has just released “Mamonama” with Lion Music. The vocalist is certainly not an unknown as it is John Lawton (former Uriah Heep/Lucifer’s friend), the guitarist neither is not unknown as it is Jan Dumee from Focus and the rest of the line up is composed of three excellent musicians. The album is composed of tracks where are mixed melodic rock, blues, soul and jazz. John Lawton has a voice recognizable between one thousand, full of emotion and energy, with a wide vocals range, always at place and melodic. It is a very accessible album especially because of all these influences and all these mixed styles in each of the tracks. They sound very 70-80s but have a well marked modern side. Besides you’ll find a little of Uriah Heep and of Focus in the instrumentations of the tracks and it is not to unpleased me. The musicians are excellent, each of them bringing something to the tracks depending of the musical background and his influences. It is hard for me to take out one track rather than another one because each of them has its own identity, its own style and they all are a success… I can only recommend you this album without any restriction.

Line up :
John Lawton (chant) (vocals)
Jan Dumee (guitare) (guitars)
Ney Conceicao (basse) (bass)
Marvio Ciribelli (claviers) (keyboards)
Xande Figueredo (batterie) (drums)
