Holy Pain is a french group which will release its third album « Among Religious », in fact this album takes the same tracks that in « Another Day » released in 2006 but with a new guitar player. The style of the group is a power/speed metal powerful and melodic in a Angra or Kamelot manners with of course different vocals. The compositions are relatively fast and energetic with a little aggressive side especially on the level of the vocals lines which stay however melodic. The tracks are classic with federating refrains. The presence of the keyboards are notable on some tracks especially on the intro of « another Day », a rather epic track. The guitars lines are good, worked and each of the tracks has its olo. The musicians have a certain technique and used it well. The songs are worked for a great part at guitars like among others « …Among Religious » but on this track the keyboards are here. David Stanis vocals are relatively well varied, well at place with just of what is needed of aggressiveness and melody.
Of course this album does not bring anything new to the genre but it has all the ingredients to please the fans of the genre, moreover we have nice times of listening.

David Stanis (chant/guitare) (vocals/guitars)
Hugo Guy (guitare) (guitars)
