Mendeed is a modern metal Scottish group who has split after having releasing several albums. Rising Records re-releases the first album of the group, released at the origin in 2004, “From Shadows Came Darkness”. The group skilfully mixes hardcore elements, thrash, death metal, with vocals mix between hardcore and clear vocals. The tracks are good compositions with well at place soli, vocals which are not less than that, efficient and furious and chorus in the refrains. The rhythmic section, especially the drums, is efficient and powerful. The tracks all being direct and powerful still keep a melodic side. It was a group which had an undeniable potential and it is too bad that it no longer exists.
I recommend this album to all those who know the last Mendeed albums and not the first coming from the beginning of its career, even if the two last albums are more successful.

David Proctor (chant) (vocals)
Chris Lavery (basse/chant) (bass/vocals)
