« Duality » from Rajna is what we can call a beautiful album. All through this album we are travelling through compositions where are mix soft, calm ambiences with ethnic, oriental sonorities which send us far from our daily life. Some passages are melancholic like in “Lamentation”. The compositions are rich in arrangements, in melodies, mixing ethnic, classic and electronic instruments. Jeanne’s vocals are magnificent, full of emotion, always right. The 16 tracks are succeeding one another with a disconcerting easiness. A huge work of searching has been done in musicality on melodies, atmospheres and ambiences levels as well as on the arrangements level. We have the presence of a prestigioux in Tim Bowness from No-Man on “We Are The Echoes”.
