Deaflock is an old school japanese thrash metal group. « Reality Of False Pasts » is the first album of the group after a demo called simply « Deaflock » which was showing the talent and the old school style of the group and a participation to a compilation « Earthquake A.G.M » where you’ll only find Japanese groups and some of them are beginning to be known such as
Lost Eden, Dead By Dawn or Liberated Stain. Deaflock’s thrash metal is direct, aggressive in the riffs and in the vocals. The guitarist gives good soli in each of the tracks like especially the one in « Shock » which is rather well done. The compositions, groovy, are in great majority fast and efficient.
They are musicians who are controlling their instruments, all is well done.
To be short, it is not an original album but it is a true, old school album for the old school thrash metal fans.
