“Executioner” is the new album of the thrash metal group Meltdown. Just before the release of the album the group had to change the name for juridical reasons and it is calling now Mantic Ritual. The thrash of the group sounds very old school. The tracks are powerful, fast and direct on the musical level as well that on the vocals one. The guitars playings are attractive and well aggressive and the soli well done like especially in « Souls ». The album is relatively well varied with tracks with numerous changings in rhythm and with well done melodic passages all keeping an aggressive and brutal side. The musicians have a certain musical technique whatever it is the guitarists, the bass player who can be well heard and well at place, or the drummer. The vocals are also well at place with just the needed aggressiveness.
To be short a pure thrash metal album from the beginning to the end.

Line up :
Dan Wetmore (chant) (vocals)
Jeff Potts (guitare) (guitars)
Ben Mottsman (basse) (bass)
Adam Haritan (batterie) (drums)
