Steel Raiser is an italian heavy/power metal group which has released “Race Of Steel”. The group plays a direct and traditional heavy metal, in the vein of groups such as Accept, Judas Priest, Gamma Ray and many more … of course the tracks are classic and do not bring anything new to the style but they are well done and well interpreted. The tracks are melodic with a pitch of aggressiveness in the vocals and the riffs. Alfonso Giordano’s vocals are much varied, powerful and well at place and sometimes in some tones he makes me think to Rob Halford or Udo. The musicians control perfectly their instruments, the rhythmic section is powerful and the guitar knows to be melodic and aggressive at the same time. it is much varied album musically speaking with mid tempos and very fast tracks. « Ride The Fire » begins rightly this album, « Princes Of Babylon » is a relatively epic track, « Gloria Perpetua » is a very good composition with keyboards sounding oriental;
At the end “Race Of Steel” is a varied album with powerful and varied tracks, to discover.
