This is “Row” the first album of the guitarist John B (guitarist of the Greek group Hybrid). It is an instrumental album made by a virtuoso guitarist who controls his instrument and who is full of feeling. It is always hard to review an instrumental album; because all is in the feeling, emotion that the musician wants to give through his instrument … some will probably be put off by the fact that there aren’t any vocals and might be tiring. It is however too bad because the instrumental albums are worth to be listened. The 11 tracks of this album are melodic with sometimes melancholic parts like in the tracks « I » and « XI », we also have very heavy, powerful and fast parts like in « II ». it is an album where are mix aggressive riffs, shredding, arpeggios, etc…
“Row” is an album for those who like guitars first of all.
