Tooth & Nail Records/Gordeon Promotion Release : 2008
Tracklist “Messengers” : Truth Of A Liar Up Against The Ropes Back Burner Blinding light Composure Vital Signs Eleventh Hour Balance Black Sheep American Dream Redemption
Efficient and powerful, so is the last album from the group August Burns Red, “Messengers”. The vocals are aggressive and furious and the tracks have numerous breaks. The compositions are brutal on the musical level as well as on the vocals one and you’ll take everything in your head from the beginning to the end. I’m not fan of the vocals genre, far from it, and even if I find them efficient, I’m happy when the vocalist ends to “scream”. Melodic passages at guitars are well present in each of the tracks and show certain ability from the guitarists for their instruments. The whole of it is energetic, intense and dynamic and will please the fans of the genre.
Line up : Jake Luhrs (chant) (vocals) JB Brubaker (guitare) (guitars) Brent Rambler (guitare) (guitars) Dustin Davidson (basse) (bass) Matt Greiner (batterie) (drums)
