The power We Serve

«The Power We Serve » is the second demo from the Swedish group Cult Of the Fox. Since the release of this demo the group has recruit a second guitarist, Per Persson, who I do think will bring more power to the tracks. Personally I find that Magnus’s vocals are lacking of rightness, and it is too bad because his voice goes perfectly with the metal that is playing the group. The tracks are heavy and powerful with a well present bass and I do think that the coming of a second guitarist will give the tracks more powerful, maybe with some harmony playing on some parts ? Musically the tracks are not original in them and are sometimes lacking of variety on the riffs level but they are relatively well conceived and the soli are rather well done especially the one of the third track.
On the sound level, it is not too bad, each of the instruments is relatively well put in value, even if I think that the drums are sometimes a little too much affront. Cult Of The Fox is a group which has a certain musical potential which I think will affirm itself along the compositions.
