SUBunder/Top Artist Promotion Release : 2008
Tracklist “Tan Cerca Del Sol” : Microcosmos Tan Cerca Del Sol Universo.Visual.Incongruente Autoeyección Paralelo Más Allá De La Meta Puzzle Distantes Apacible Desesperación Otherwise Una Nueva Especie Que Extinguir Una Verdad Oculta
“Tan Cerca Del Sol” is the first album from the Spanish progressive rock group Thaykhay. The influences of the group are groups such as Tool, A Perfect Circus or Incubus even King Crimson or Porcupine Tree. Created in 2005 by the vocalist, the group works on the writing of a concept album « Tan Cerca Del Sol » which deals with the Earth global warming, the destruction of the planet Earth. The Thaykhay’s progressive rock is in no way aggressive. The melodies are delicates, worked with successful piano/keyboards passages, as well the guitars is present, acoustic or electric, but is never really very heavy. The vocals are in Spanish and Mariano has a delicate, melodic and well at place voice. The tracks have all different atmospheres with nice intros such as for example « Paralelo ». it is an album with is nice to listen and it is too bad not having the translation of the texts in English for those who do not understand Spanish because the lyrics are interesting. It is a very good first album with which we have nice time of listening.
Line up : Mariano Fugillo (chant/claviers/programmation) (vocals/keyboards/programming) Adrian Galicia (guitare) (guitars) Alberto Peranton (basse) (bass) Paco (batterie) (drums)
