It has been more than one year and a half that Within Temptation has released its album “The Heart Of Everything”, the group comes back this year with this double live album consecrate to its last tour. For this live, Within Temptation has been surrounded with the Metropole Orchestra and is call « Black Symphony ». You have the choice of version, the first one are two CDs and the second one two DVDs. This double CD gives of course a nice part to the last album « The Heart Of Everything » but we also have tracks coming from « The Silent Force ».
The orchestrations are magnificent and give a more pronounced side to the songs. Sharon Den Adel is well at place as well as the musicians whatever they are from the group or from the Orchestra. On this live the guitars are heavy and powerful and the rhythmic section efficient. We have some guests, Keith Caputo (former Life Of Agony) for « What Have You Done », Anneke Van Giersbergen (former The Gathering) for a duo on « Somewhere » and George Ossthoek (Orphanage).
It is clear that it is an album that should have the fans of the group, whatever the choosen version.
