Eli or Eliza Pezzuto is an Italian vocalist who has released “Darkness Will Fall”. The style of the album is a mix of gothic and symphonic. The group is composed with Lars Eric Mattson, Eddie Slegehammer and The Astra Orchestra. It is an album which puts into value Eli’s voice. She has a very nice voice tone, relatively lyrical, and can go very far in the high pitch notes. It is a very talented vocalist who can sing different vocals registers. The instrumental arrangements are very good ones. If this album gives tribute to Eli’s voice, it still is that the compositions are of very good quality and Lars Eric Mattson’s soli very good, like those of « For Mother Earth » or « Leave My Here ». Some tracks sound rather gothic rock, others more symphonic, each of the compositions are melodious, on the instrumental level as well as on the vocals one. « My Emptiness » is a nice track based on an acoustic guitar.
An excellent album to discover if you like nice female voices.
