The group Aere Aeternus has released its first album “Humanity Needs No Funeral” with Kaosthetik. The members of the group are all coming from different groups. The style is a mix of dark ambient and industrial elements. The tracks are dark, very dark and the atmospheres are disturbing and alarming. The ambiences are minimalist but very often oppressive with an unhealthy side which can be very present and we enter into a tormented universe, dark and alarming and we have the feeling that all progressively rise in intensity …also at the frontiers of horror, of life or death… It is an album which sends us in the depths, in the abyss where reign horror and anguish. There is no melody which can be taken out in the tracks; there are noises, sounds, male or female voices which appear here or there. The compositions are sufficiently worked to make us share all this suffering, with the dark side of the dark ambient and the cold side of the Indus. It is not a delightful album, death, suffering are present all through the compositions … but the title is sufficiently evocating…
