If you like FM and melodic rock/hard rock, the last album from the Swedish group Bad Habit, “Above And Beyond” will please you. The group exists since 1986 and this album is their eighth one. You will find here nice catchy melodies on the vocals and the musical levels. It is a very dynamic album with a modern sound which however keeps a traditional side on the chorus level, very present in the refrains. The compositions are relatively well varied and nice to listen. The riffs are melodic as well as the soli which are in each of the tracks. The keyboards are present but just to add more melody to the compositions. Vocally, it is very melodic, Bax has a very pleasant voice to listen, very melodic and relatively varied which perfectly goes with the compositions of the group.
To be short « Above And Beyond » is a well done, solid album which has the benefit of a good production, very smooth. To discover if you like the style and the group.
