Tracklist « Kappa Delta Phi » :
Vaka is a swedish post rock/metal group which has released its first album « Kappa Delta Phi ». If Karl Daniel Lidén is at the origin of this project, he has called two vocalists, several guitarists and bass players coming from other groups to complete the line up. These musicians are vocalists are coming from Dozer, I Ar Droid, Come Sleep, A Swarm Of The Sun, Ghost Brigade, Paatos, Morte Macabre. All the keyboards, piano and drums parts are played by Karl Daniel himself. The keyboards have a very important place in the composition of the tracks; it is them which give the ambiences and the atmospheres of the tracks. They are relatively progressive in their structures and the keyboards are reinforcing this feeling, as well as they are sounding rather 70s as a whole. The compositions have huge only instrumental parts, or are only instrumental, with keyboards or classic piano and the melodies are pleasant to listen, rich in ambiences. It is an album which deserves an particular attention and listening to appreciate all its details and to really “enter” into the music.
