This is the first album from the French group The Outburst. The group describes itself as doing “hedo metal” … So the search of pleasure through a philosophy of life, so here through music, precisely metal … « Entertainment » is a powerful and melodic album at the same times musically and vocally speaking. The vocals are shared between Sarah and Sky. The two voices are completing themselves pretty well, Sarah has a powerful voice, melodic and deep and knows to play on several vocal range, several tones and her voice is not a typical “metal” voice. Sky, takes sometimes a death/thrash metal voice, other times a clear one. The all of it gives relatively varied vocals. The guitars are heavy even much heavy and melodic with powerful riffs and a good technique level and the soli are good but too little. The rhythmic section is well at place, powerful and efficient. I admit having hard time taking out one track rather another one because each of them in their own style is a good composition.
Moreover the album has the benefit of an excellent production.
It is certainly not with groups such as The Outburst that the French metal scene can be ashamed!!! I can only recommend it to you.
