This is the very first album from the French group Evil One. « Evil Never Dies » is released after different changing in the line up but especially the group has abandon the female vocals (more or less successful …) for efficient and well at place male vocals. The style of the group is a mix of thrash and speed metal. The tracks are energetic and efficient on the musical level as well as on the vocals one. The riffs are heavy and powerful and the soli are excellent, the rhythmic section efficient and powerful. Fred vocals are melodic, well at place and relatively varied.
The album has been recorded in Amiens at the Walnut Groove (ADX/DSK…) under the leadership of Axel Wusthorn (Carnival In Coal) and the mastering done by Jeff Waters (Annihilator).
We have guests on this album : Jeff Water, Betov and Phil d’ADX.
At the end Evil One gives us here a powerful and energetic album and I do think, when I see the talent of the musicians and the vocalist that the group really has good future perspectives in front of him.
