“My Own army” is the last opus from the italian group Exilia. The style of the group is a mix of neo meal and thrash metal. Masha’s vocals are hoarse, rather aggressive as a whole but still are going perfectly with the music style of the group. The majority of the tracks have mid tempos rhythmic but have however fast passages, and we also find two ballads where we find Masha who, for once, do not scream but sings… It is not an album which will revolutionize the genre because a lot of groups are already more or less doing the same thing and the compositions are not exceptional neither. We have a Phil Collins cover « In the Air Tonight » rearranged in a metal manner rand it is not the worst I’ve heard. The fans of the group and of the genre will probably appreciate it, the classic metal fans won’t even listen to it …

Line up :
Masha (chant) (vocals)
Elio Alien (guitare) (guitars)
Privacy (basse) (bass)
BH (batterie) (drums)
