Rising Records/Gordeon Music Release : November 07th 2008
Tracklist “Shadow War Love –The Very Best Of Mendeed” : Ignite the flames Act of sorrow Fatal poison whisper Glory be thy name The reaper waits Beneath a burning sky Stand as one, fight for glory Remains of the day Burning fear The dead live by love Take me as I am Its not over yet
In this “Very Best Of Mendeed” from the scottish metalcore group we will find tracks coming from the different albums. The four first tracks are coming from the EP « Shadows Came Darkness » (2004), the four following ones from « This War Will Last Forever » (2005) and the four last ones from the last album « The Dead Will Live By Love ». Along the tracks we are progressing musically and vocally speaking from album to album. The tracks are aggressive all keeping melodic touches all through the tracks, making the compositions rather attractive. It is a good manner to discover the group for those who do not know Mendeed. Now are they the best tracks of the album ? All is question of taste and appreciation … but this album gives us a good general idea of the “short” career of the group …. And I do stay on my position… that is to say that it is too bad that the group does not exist anymore !
Line up : David Proctor (chant) (vocals) Chris Lavery (basse/chant) (bass/vocals) Steven Nixon (guitare) (guitars) Steph Gildea (guitare) (guitars) Kevin Matthews (batterie) (drums)
