After having released its live Vengeance with its new studio album “Soul Collector”. 25 years of classic and melodic hard rock career. For this album the group has been surrounded with different composers as we will find among others, Paul Sabu who has signed « Myspace Freak » (not the best song of the album for me…), Arjen Lucassen with « Samourai », and Matt Sinner with «Soul Collector». It is a well varied album with heavy, powerful and fast tracks, others more mid tempos and of course the ballad. Leon Goewie’s vocals are well at place, even excellent. The guitars are powerful, heavy and efficient. Some tracks are particularly to remember such as the excellent « Samurai » with oriental influences, « Cross In The Rain », « So Many Times » and the mid acoustic track « Lean On Me », but the others are also well done … To note that Timo Somers, Jan’s son had joined the group as a “permanent” member of the group.
Personally I like this album made of good tracks with which I had a pleasant listening moment.

Line up :
Leon Goewie (chant) (vocals)
Jan Somers (guitare) (guitars)
Timo Somers (guitare) (guitars)
Barend Courbois (basse) (bass)
