Rising Records/Gordeon Music Promotion Release : November 10th 2008
Tracklist “Radiocity” : Bridge Across the Harbour No Thanks Bed Of Rhythm Morgan’s Creek How Katie Feels Choice Not Freedom Family Of Nations Paint My Dreams Light Of The Day How Do You Take It ?
Sharp Practise is an English classic rock group and “Radiocity” is its first album. It is an excellent album, very pleasant to listen on the vocals level as well as on the melodies one. Of course it is not an album which will revolutionize the world of music but it is an album which is to appreciate for what it is : a good album full of feeling and groove ! The melodies are pleasant and make us travelling in the 80s classic rock with a little non unpleasant country/southern/folk side. Some tracks have also female chorus, also very pleasant ones. Moreover we have the acoustic guitars which mix the electric one and instruments such as sax or harmonica which bring a plus to the tracks. The compositions are good, simples, melodic and efficient. It is not an album which is heady, you appreciate simply appreciate it. « Radiocity » is an album to discover for its simplicity with well at place musicians who are giving full of true feeling in their music.
Line up : Ant Kempster (chant/guitare) (vocals/guitars) Sarah McCullock (backing vocals) Dave Bronze (basse) (bass) Nigel Clothier (claviers) (keyboards) Pete Thompson (batterie) (drums) Mark Towers (saxophone) Gilles King (harmonica)
