Hyperdump is a young French group which has released its first demo. The members of the group are all coming from varied metal groups. The style of Hyperdrump is a mix of extreme metal and Indus metal. The five tracks of this demo are powerful, heavy and efficient with sometimes a cold side. Each of the compositions is worked with changing in rhythmic, in style and the soli are well done. The tracks are as a whole aggressive; just consider the guitars playing which are heavy, powerful and very efficient, but also in the vocals which are themselves aggressive. However we do find a lot of melodies in the songs, on the vocals and the instrumental level. The vocals are very varied, sometimes clear vocals, other times more core, other times with special effects. Musically a great work has been done one the compositions level, the group seem to have to limit and take in their different influences and styles. I liked this demo, which has the benefit of a very big sound and which give very efficient tracks. The musicians know what they do, and nothing is put by chance, all is coherent and structured. I admit that I would have more tracks to listen !!!
The track I prefer is « Pig Song » for its rhythmic and its melody and its changing in rhythmic.
This demo lets presage good things to come for the group and I sincerely hope that Huperdump will have its place on the metal scene.
