“To The Grave” is the fifth album from the Danish group Iron Fire and the third with Napalm Records. The style of the group is a powerful, melodic and efficient power metal. Of course it is not an album which brings something new to the style because the compositions stay classic with the usual ingredients but they are well done and well structured. The tracks are dynamic, efficient with mid tempos and other faster. Martin’s vocals are well at place, full of melody, of power and feeling and very pleasant to listen. The guitar is powerful and heavy with good riffs and rather good soli. The rhythmic section is efficient and solid and the tracks have keyboards which reinforce the melodies and the atmospheres. It is an album which makes us travel along battles, kingdoms, and usual themes of the style… even if some sound rather clichés … At the end classic tracks of the genre which will please Hammerfall, Manowar, etc fans and to the power fans in general.

Line up :
Martin steene (chant) (vocals)
Kirk Backarach (guitare) (guitars)
Martin Lund (basse) (bass)
Fritz Wagner (batterie) (drums)
