Sara Lee is a finnish group which has released its second album « Damnation To Salvation ». The style of the group is a mix of progressive rock/metal. Some tracks are heavy and powerful with the guitars which have the first place and others which are, on the contrary, slower and there the keyboards are much more present. Sara Lee’s tracks make me think to groups such as Katatonia, Evergrey or Anathema. The vocals are in great majority clear but we also have sometimes some growls or more brutal vocals, and personally I do not see the finality of it in the measure of Joonas vocals are well at place and melodic and go perfectly with the style of the tracks. The whole is relatively melancholic … except one or two tracks which are more “joyful”. Without being exceptional « Damnation To Salvation » is a nice album to listen.

Line up :
Joonas (chant) (vocals)
Juha (guitare/backing vocals) (guitars/backing vocals)
Arzka (claviers/guitare/backing vocals) (keyboards/guitars/backing vocals)
Saurus (basse) (bass)
Clansman (batterie/backing vocals) (drums/backing vocals)
